Who are we?
Established in 2017, the Construction Industry Leadership Forum is a collaboration between the Australian Constructors Association and the NSW, Victorian and Queensland governments.
Our purpose is to improve the effectiveness and value of the procurement and delivery of government infrastructure programs. Through this forum, government and industry are working together to set a common agenda for change, share knowledge and set a program of activities to resolve commercial and contractual issues and address capability and capacity constraints. As such, we have established three workstreams with a focus on: value for money, procurement reform and capability and capacity.
Recognising the importance of the industry’s culture, the Construction Industry Leadership Forum launched the Culture In Construction initiative in 2021. Through this initiative we have developed a new Culture Standard to not only lift the productivity and performance of construction but address the major issues holding back our industry – excessive work hours and fatigue, poor mental health, and failure to attract a diverse workforce.
We are proud to bring government and industry together to bring about important improvements to help create a more sustainable industry that all of Australia will benefit from.
