Corey heads up the government authority established on 1 January 2019 to oversee Victoria’s major transport projects currently in planning and under construction. A number of project teams come under the umbrella of the MTIA – the Level Crossing Removal Project, North East Link Project, West Gate Tunnel Project, Major Road Projects Victoria and Rail Projects Victoria.

Prior to his current role, Corey was Coordinator-General of the Major Transport Infrastructure Program (from July 2014), and before that CEO of the Regional Rail Link Authority (from 2009 to 2014) charged with delivering Victoria’s largest rail project in almost a century.

Corey has more than 20 years’ experience in the construction sector, including more than 10 years in the public sector delivering major rail infrastructure projects.

He joined the former Department of Infrastructure in 2003 and earlier in his career worked with Boral Resources and Baulderstone Hornibrook on large-scale road projects, including CityLink as well as airport projects.
