Sonya Campbell

Executive Director, Head of Infrastructure and Structured Finance Unit, NSW Treasury.

Sonya joined Treasury in September 2018 following an 18 year career in the private sector specialising in project procurement.  As a member of the NSW Construction Leadership Group (CLG) and chair of the CLG Commercial Subcommittee, Sonya has a passion for improving the efficiency of infrastructure procurement and delivery.

She is also the NSW Government lead on the Commercial Working Group for the Construction Industry Leadership Forum (CILF).  Sonya is at the forefront of work being done by the CLG and the CILF to implement a program of specific measures to improve collaboration and risk allocation across the construction sector.

Sonya began her career as a construction lawyer at Malleson before moving to an in-house legal role with Abigroup, followed by senior asset development and then commercial and risk management roles with Abis and Lendlease. She then spent two years as a Director in PwC’s Infrastructure and Urban Renewal Group.
